Robert "Bob" Gillespie Jr. Obituary

Robert "Bob" Gillespie Jr. FORT WORTH--Robert "Bob" Gillespie Jr. passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017. Bob was born in Fort Worth on Jan. 16, 1950. He graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1968 and attended Tarrant County College. He worked for many years at Texas Refinery Corp as a salesman and sales manager. He was a lifelong lover of music, playing both guitar and piano. As a teenager, he enjoyed being in a local band that played at parties and actually cut a couple of records. Bob and a group of us from church had sooo much fun! What an infectious laugh he had. We were in TARS (Teens Aid the Retarded...not accepted terminology now!) together as well.

iI remember Bob worked at Radio Shack on 7th across from Montgomery Wards. I bought a complete stero set from Bob. Speakers, Turntable, and AM FM  Tuner that lasted years. It even got to Antarctica with me. All of it was stolen in a house burglary 11 years later.  Who would steal an 11 year old Radio Shack stero set ?  I also remember playing golf with him at the Carswell Golf Course before it went public . Sorry we can’t play another round
