Linda Wooleidge Collins 1950~2021

COLLINS, Linda Wooldridge Plano - Linda Wooldridge Collins, 71, of Fort Worth and Dallas, Texas born Sept. 17, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas to Anne and Elmer Wooldridge passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, after a short but brave battle against breast cancer. Linda graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, Texas and The University of Texas in Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Collins; and her parents, Anne and Elmer. Linda was survived by her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, Claire, Bryan and Finley Lester; as well as her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, Wynne, Zac, and Nora Sherman, stepson, Cliff Collins, sisters, Sue, Betty, and Jane, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Linda loved her family, friends, and the countless pets that she adored throughout her life. Linda was fortunate enough to accomplish many of her life goals, such as having a home in the countryside with many animals and traveling to destinations far and wide, including her ultimate destination of Patagonia, where she practiced her life-long hobby of photography. During the pandemic, Linda used her sewing skills to make quilts for her family members and countless face masks for local organizations as well as friends and family. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at a private residence. Memorials: Contributions may be made to METavivor (metavivor.org), an organization dedicated to the specific fight of women and men living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
