Charlotte Elaine Hoffman, 75, passed away on October 21, 2025. Charlotte was born on October 9. 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, to parents, Charles and Mary Margaret Hoffman.
She attended North High Mount, Stripling High, and Arlington Heights High School. She earned a BA in Music Education from Tarleton State University.
Her Sweet Adeline International Membership began in New York City during the 1970’s, where she sang with several SA choruses or their successors. Charlotte then became director of Lone Star Chorus in Fort Worth for several years, earning the choir medal winning status.
During this time, Charlotte was employed by Cornelius-Pierce/Power Engineers for 37 years until retirement. After retirement, Charlotte continued coaching and teaching to encourage barbershop singing.
Charlotte’s involvement in church included a membership at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church while participating in the music programs since her teen years, bells and singing. She was a music director at Alvarado United Methodist Church for seven years. She was also a member and the handbell choir director at Genesis United Methodist Church, until her passing.
She was always singing or leading the church choirs for the joy of the love music and sharing in faith. Charlotte joined her sister, Susan, as a second generation member of the Harmony Chorus of the Woman’s Club of Fort Worth. Gold Tone Senior Show Choir was also a recent addition to her participation list. She was inspired by their motto: Music Memory Matters.
Her creative spirit included quilting, drawing and water color painting, making stained glass windows, and other objects.
She loved to travel. Charlotte’s travels included Sweet Adeline trips to Europe, family trips to Italy, Alaska and several of the western states, and she visited Susan in her ministry states of New England.
Charlotte was preceded by her parents, Charles E. Hoffman and Mary Margaret Alton Hoffman. She is survived by siblings, Rev. Susan B. Hoffman and A. Scott Holffman; nephew, Asa A. Hoffman and spouse, Wendy; niece, Aimee A. Hoffman and spouse, Sharon; and next generation, Caitlynn Wittman, Landai Hoffman, Liz Hoffman, and Faith Hoffman Charlotte will be laid to rest in Greenwood Memorial Park near the place of rest for her parents.
