Johnny W. Ragan, 58, a loving husband, son and brother, passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008.
Celebration of Johnny's Life: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Greenwood Chapel with a reception to follow in the Greenwood reception center.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society of North Texas, 1840 E. Lancaster, Fort Worth, Texas 76103.
Johnny W. Ragan was born July 11, 1950, to Albert and Billie Ragan in Forth Worth. He graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1968 and attended TCU. He was a lifelong member of Ridglea Baptist Church. He owned and operated Ragan Excavation in Fort Worth for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR and spending time with his many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. (Half man, half alligator).
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert L. Ragan.
Survivors: Wife, Holly A. Ragan; mother, Billie R. Ragan; sister, Linda Sue Walker and husband, Jimmy; four nieces and their families; and many cousins.

What I remember about Johnny was that Ford Mustang he picked up girls with. I always wanted a Mustang, he had one. I always wanted to pick up girls as easily as Johnny did.  I never did.  I miss you in a jealous sort of way.

Johnny may have attended TCU later, but our freshman year, Johnny and I carpooled together to TCJC South Campus. I lived across Luther Lake from him and our classes were the same hours so most days we rode together and even had some classes together. Always a fun guy to be around. Had a great smile and a great laugh.
