Sharon Prohs 1949 ~ 2023

Sharon Dean Prohs Rogers passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. Sharon was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Claudine & Kenneth Prohs. She is a life long resident of the Fort Worth area, settling down in Bedford.

Sharon graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth.
She married the love of her life Richard in June of 1970.

Sharon achieved her dream of being a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. She worked in various places, helping change the lives of many people in need.

Sharon & Rick loved traveling to the mountains of New Mexico. They loved Native American culture.

The funeral service for Sharon will be October 16 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Visitation will be 10:00 am, with the service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will be on October 17 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetary in Dallas at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer Assocation.

She is preceded in death by her parents and older brother Leonard Prohs. Her survivors are her husband of 53 years, Richard, her children Andrea Rottman and husband Jarrod, Ken Rogers and wife Heather, James Rogers and fiance Joy Anderson, grandchildren Matthew, Jaylen, Jenna & Levi, her twin brother Louis and his wife Diana, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
